Two Big Mortgages.
Clerk of court I. F, Peake has just jt
received from the Southern Railway ei
an $18,000,000 mortgage, covering i
the South Carolina Division, made to
the New York Security and Trust SC
Company, as trustee, to be recorded at
here, it has 85 pages, and the recording
of same will cost about $28. The
mortgage is to be recorded in the
counties touched by the road.
Another mortgage for $75,000,000 TH
was recorded here last week, given by
the Seaboard Air Lino Railway to the
Continental Trust Company of Maryland.
This mortgago is presumably
to add additional securities to the .
$75,000,000 mortgago given by the
Seaboard to the same Trust Company
and recorded here two years ago of
which The Times made mention at
the time. A few more of those kind su
of mortgages would give Clerk Peake ?

Gregory as much workjas tl*ey oould
