Dukes, a member of the r house from Orangeburg, was elected - a director. . .Mr. L. J. Williams was elected chairman of the board. Tho salary of the commissioner will be $3,000 a year. The schools nro all in operation but have been much interrupted by the cold rains. The wheat and oat crop has suffered severely from the cold.
