This bridge is oue of the best -tnictures in the county. It is an iron bridge, painted throughout. It is built no far above high water mark, and the 1 approaches so constructed as to render it _ impregnable against wind and water, g Our efficient Supervisor, T. J. Betenbau li. inspected this bridge last week and found it all right and fully up to the contract, plan and specifications, except t| t'-at the hand railings and hub planks p had not been paiuted, according to the p contaact, and although the Laurens 1 county Supervisor was willing to receive the bridge, Mr. Beteubaugh insisted that the painting be done as this was the contract. Tbe marriage of Mr. R. Ellin Palmer of this city, and Miss Lula Walker, ol Coleraine, took place at the residence ol the brides father, Dr. B F. Walker, the 14th inst. Bright was the day and brighter still the faces of all who bad the pleasure of attending. The home was beautifully decorated, as in olden time with beautiful sprays of holly, ivey and mistletoe; tbe dining room with its heavily laden and gracefully arranged table being unusually attractive. At eleven o'clock Mr. W. D Brown t>f this city with Miss Annie Little of Glenn Springs. Mr. E P. Norman also if this city and Miss Alba Walker, who were jjj*> attendants, entered the parlor rollowed by tbe groom and bis pretty bride. Rev. J. II. Crosby performed he ceremony, the bride and groom sealing their happy vows with the ring. After spending a very happy hour enjoying the revelries of the feait tbe lames of the bridal party and the many (nests and their handsome gifts were ncribed in the bridal abum. At two 3'clock the party left, admid many good wishes and showers of rice, for the home >f the groom* where other friends and mother sumptuous feast awaited them.
