TEACHERS' COLUMN.; Disbursement of Dispensary I ntnl. ; I We call Superintendent of Education McMahan's attention to the tact that the law giving to each school enough of the dispensary money to make it a three months' term should bo watched pretty closely and interpreted so that each school district should have a three months' school f r both races. It is true that some townships are made school districts, but thero should. be a school house for each school ami all sessions should begin and end at the tame time, as this wili prevent the doable count of children in tho enroll meat of the school. We remember a few years ago Union School District was knocked out of her rightful proportion of constituti* n al tax by some of the trustees in other townships allowiug schools to bo taught in cnurcbes, and consequently children were enrolled more thaii once; for in-' stance, Jno. Smith would tench ? sohool two months in summer at (J->r inth church, with enrollment ot 50 pupils; Bill Jones ono month in winter at Ebenezer with 35 enrolled and Jno. Smith again two in Spring at Hebron, with 40. Nearly all in same 3 mile limit and practically the same pupils, if the roll had been examined The trustees did not examine tinnames nor have an idea they wendefrauding others, but nevertheless they received their pro rata share of the school fund on an enrollment of 125, when they were entitled to prob ably 50.
