Monday evening returned from Lex? ington, where he went Monday morn? ing for Mark Morris, who was ar? rested there Saturday on a warrant sworn out before Magistrate Welle by Deputy sheriff Epperson on the charge of misappropriating funds se OUred through collections from the Sheriff's tax executions. The amount Involved Is only a small sum, about fifteen dollars, but it is probable that the case will be pushed by Deputy Sheriff Epperson, who is unwilling t?> accept a compromise. The collections were made in 1912, when Morris was a constable fori Magistrate Player, which he is; charg? ed with misappropriating. Morris has been evading the officers for more than a year, but at last he has been secured and if Is probable the case Wll be pushed against him. Mr. F. A. McLood has been secured by Morris as his attorney. Death of Mrs. Pros*. Mrs. Louise Elizabeth Frost died at her home on Hampton Avenue Sunday, September S8, 1918 at 2 p m., after a brief illness. She was born in Sumter county near Stateburg. August 14, 1851, where she lived un? til her marriage to Charles Edward Frost of Charleston, who preceded her 12 years ago. She was the mother of 9 children, seven of whom survive her. Sho is also survived by a sister, Mrs. Wil? liam Moreland of Thomasville, Ga.,' and a brother, Geo. H. Willis of Lyons, Ga. She led a quiet, Christian life, a member of the Methodist church for over forty years and was loved by all that knew her. Funeral services were conducted at tho Wedgefleld burying ground, by Ue,V.
