Ills term expired August I, 1911, but as he walked out of the prison doors, he was arrested on the charge of robbing the safe of, the Enorec Manufacturing company of 110,000 on the night of November 26, 1902. Johnson was brought to Spartanburc and tried in the court of general sessions. He acted as his own attorney and made an appeal to the jury which, however, was un a\ ailing. Farmers' Union Meeting. An effort is being made to have an ele< tion ordered for the third Tuesday in August of this year whether or- not this county ehail again have the dispensary or re? main in the dry column of coun? ties. Hallway Trestle Hurned. A trestle on the Atlantic (.'oast Line Kail road between Sumter and Columbia near Camden Junction was burned Friday afternoon for a tils- | tance Of about sixty feet. A train had to be sent out from Sumter to transfer the passengers and baggage from the trains from Columbia and was sent on from here afterwards.
