News was received In the city Thursday of the death In a hospital at Wilmington during the morning of Mrs. Helen Gantt Minis of Wlltc vllle. and formerly of Sumter. Mrs. Mims is survived by her husband, Mr. J. Z. Mlms, formerly of this city, and one six-year old son. Mrs. Mims had been sick for only a week and the news of her death was a great shock to her many friends here, who had not heard of her illness. Mrs. Mims was an ex? cellent business woman and had for a number of years been enguged in newspaper work on the Whlteville Newa-Iteporter, published by her father, Col. T.
