A petition is being circulated among the voters of Lee County to be sent to the Lee county dele? gation petitioning them to get a bill passed giving to the voters of Lee county the privilege of voting again on the question of having a dispensary at Bishopville. We have had prohibition, so called for two years and thought that the question was settled once and for good, but we find that a large per cent of our people are dissatisfied with the pres? ent jug trade and claim that more drinking is being done now than when the dispensary was hei e. They claim that liquor is now being bought in large quantitie3 and that drinking is done to a larger extent in the country than when they bought it by the half pint. We find many who vted for pro? hibition have changed thfeir mind and now say they would rather have liquor sold under legal restrictions than ordered in promiscuously by m umerence oi opinion along this line. Fvery sane man knows it is wrong to lend hia influence to intemperance. It Is not a question of right or wrong but is a burning question as to how people are to control this great evil.?Bishopville Vindicator.
