While the guests were thus making merry the couple slipped away to catch their train at Sumter. The wedding gifts were many and tieauttful, attesting the esteem in which the young couple is held by their friends. The bride Is the eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. E. Betrand Colclough and tho groom the eldest son of the late Philip Porcher Gaillard. The little Episcopal church where their marriage vows were solemnized was founded nearly a hundred years ago by t'.;e Gatlard and Colclough families, ancestors of the bride and groom.
