Ramsey, and his son, returned from Laurens a few ago, where they were the guests of Mr. and Mrs. 8. R. Cain. The many friends of Mr. and M^s. W. L. Saunders are glad to hear their son Harrison, who has 111 with pneumonia at Gibraltar, recovered, and sailed on August ttrd for Annapolis. McDuffle Hampton In the race for railroad commissioner but otherwise the candidates stand proportionately in the same order as was shown in the report the morning after the election. The total vote reported and in most all of the counties this vote is the official count, is 103,695. This is arrived at by an addition of the vott for various candidates for the gov- j ernorshlp. Of course in the official count some votes were thrown out and the vote as reported will be changed very little by the final can? vass. I Hlease leads Featherstone by ap? proximately 3.600 votes, but if the vote for Hyatt and Richards goes to the prohibition candidate in the sec? ond race, as is considered most prob- I able, and should he get half of the \ vote which went to McLeod, giving Hlease half of McLeod's vote and all of Duncan's, it would mean a saf?* lead for Featherstone.
