Mr. Irving Richardson, of Sumter, spent Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. R. C. Richardson. Jr. Miss Lillie llaleombe. of Biltmore, N. C. is spending a few days with Mrs. W. R. Find. From here Miss Halcombo will go to Charleston, whe.'e she expects to vlitt relatives. Mrs. R. M. Cantey. who was the guest of Mrs. E. N. Frierson, during the past week, has returned home. Messrs. W. D. Frierson and Gil land Flshhurne spent Sunday in our midst. After a very pleasant visit to her sister, Mrs. R. Lee Coker. of Harts vllle. Miss Sallle Norrie has returned to the neighborhood. Mr. F. D. Brohun, of Wedgefleld, spent Sunday with friends here. The farmers have finished planting corn and are busy preparing to plant cotton. They seem "nothing daunt? ed" by the prolonged drought, from which the oat crop and gardens are really suffering.
