"The Columbia banks are not any more entitled to this money than those of other cities and towns in this State," said a member of the commission. "We are . responsible for the money wherever it is placed, and I believe it would be better to distribute it among the banks of the State." New York, April 12.-Hopelessly divided-seven for a verdict of guilty of murder in the first degree and five for acquittal on the ground of insanity-the jury which, since the 23rd of last January., had been trying Harry K.
