Committee, ) Sumte?, October 2, 1890. j To the Democratic Voters v?* Sum ter County ; Havmg> submitted the selection of county officers to yoa by means of a primary election, fully advertised and duly held on the ?5th of September, our candidates have been legally nominated and are now before the people. Holding, as we do, the only legal Democratic organization in Suinter County, and believing that all Demo crats true to the interests of the coun ty and of their party will accept th? result of toe primary election, I call upon each one of you to remember that in your hands is how placed the welfere of Sauter County. It is the doty of every Democrat to use his utmost endeavor to elect cur candida tes at the general election in Novem ber. We feel confident of success, and would earnestly invite all who recent ly have not affiliated with us,, and who have tiie interest of thur party at heart, to join us in maintaining true Democracy in Su inter County. Oar Foreman was present at the set tlement between the Comptroller-Gen - eral and our County officers and found records correct. We respectfully recommend that the it Court House and grounds be sold and a modern Court Ho&se and Jail be built on present jail lot, it be ing large enough for both. The Court House not being suitable for present srposes and the Jail is not worth re pairing. The sale of the Court House grounds we believe will pay for btth, it putting the County to muck expense. / we recommend that the salary of .
