Are we to drive just as near the dissy precipice as we can? Are we to keep just one little serpent coiled up in oor homes ? It takes out one glass to open the dreadful downward path before a young man's feet. It takes but the flavored cake, pie, or sauce to plant the appe tite deep in a boy's nature. It takes bot the faintest taste of alcohol to re vive the fierce desire in- a reformed drunkard and send him back to perdi tion.
