Lanes Locals. Lanes, Aug., 7.?Miss Jeannette Da vis, who has beer, visiting her brother, Rev. W. E. Davis at Clemson, returned Friday. Mr. and Mrs. Willie Brown were called to Mrs. Brown's home Saturday on account of the illness of her aister, who is critically ill. Mr. Willie Baggett left Tuesday for Hendersonvillc, where he will spend his vacation. Miss Vera McClaiy of Sumerton, is the guest of her brother, Mr. S. W. McOlarv this week. Mr. Gordon Rogers left Tuesday for Clinton to join his friends on a camping trip. Miss Hazel Graham is visiting her cousins, Misses Minnie and Jeannette Davis at Salters this week. Miss Rody Lane Brown is the guest ?f Mr. and Mrs. B. A. Brown this week-end. Miss Jeannette Davis spent Saturday here with Mr. and Mrs. C. M. Mims. a i Cooperative Marketing. Cannon, of the Hemingway section, died Thursday morning August 3rd, after a lingering illness. She was laid to rest Friday afternoon at Poplar Hill cemetery. The funeral services were conducted by Rev. Mr. Ingraham of Hemingway in presence of a large concourse of friends and relatives. The deceased is survived by her mother, three sisters, three step brothers and sisters and four children. Among those attending the funeral were Mrs. I. V. Cameron, Charleston; Mrs. A. S.
