Gourdin entertained at J delightful Porch Party in honor o Mrs. Martha Wolfe, her sister-in-law who is spending some time with rel atives in town. The spacious piazzs was decorated with ferns, palms an< other pot plants, also cut flowers ii profusion. After the guests had as sembled bottles in various shapes an< sizes, pins, twine and cre?b paper ii many collors were given out and th< ladies requested to dress the bottles a dolls, each to give her doll a nam< suitable to the character represented A busy time and much mtrrimen ensued. When the vote was taken ballot to determine the best-dresse< doll, it was found that the one dress ed by Mrs. E. C. Burgess was con sidered the cleverest The prize, i bottle of perfume, was presented t< the winner, who in turn presented i to the guest of honor. When the doll contest was over, re freshments consisting of ice-crean and cake were served by the hostess assisted by her mother, Mrs. W. V Brockington and Mrs. T. S. Heming way.
