Upon inflation, in the ! tl casing, the collapsed cavities expand, ti causing the tube walls to be subject- if ed to a considerable pressure, and tl also to be somewhat thickened. Any- a: thing causing a puncture is simply n extracted, no mending being neces- o: sary, as it is claimed that the tube cj walls will instantly compress and ir close the hole so tightly that leakage ii is impossible.
