WIDE INTEREST IN CHOOSING QUEEN COUNTIES NOW CONDUCTINC TO ELECT PALMAFESTA QUEEN. Which county in South Carolina wil have the honor of supplying Palma feeta (Palmetto State Festival) witl a queen? And who ever is chosei will be a queen in fact because sh< will be chosen from among forty-fiv< of the most attractive and populai young women in the state, one fron each county, except Richland, who wil assemble in Columbia during the weel of March 27 to April 2. a3 specia honor guests of Columbia and th< Palmafesta association. During th' big week a general election will b< held to choose the queen from among the many attractive candidates, am this election promises to be a mosl interesting affair for everybody ir South Carolina. A photographic supplement containing the pictures of all county delegates will be published ir the newspapers of Columbia, and ballots will be issued the general public by means of which everybody will be given an opportunity to express theii choice for queen. The queen's grand prize will be a complete spring outfit of wearing apparel of her own choosing to be furnished by the various specialty stores in Columbia The value of the grand prize has Deer set high enough to make it well worth competing for. Traveling expenses, hotel bills and entertainment for the county delegates will be borne by the Palmesta association and the young ladies will be chaperoned by leading society folk of Columbia, including the wives of state house officials.
