If any one wishes to make a con<tribution of old colthing to Polish ReL lief, it will be gladly received TuesW day afternoon Jan. 28 in the Methodist Sunday School room. The Woman's Missionary Society will pack this clothing and ship it to Newport News, Va. It will be baled and sent from there to the sufferers of Poland. % We are pleased to note that Mr. W. j K. ' The Williams Singers an organiz- 1 tion of trained colored musicians gave an exhibit of their talent at the Court ; % House hei-e last night before a packed audience, including a number of 1 white people. There were eight in ' the party and they are said to be art- 1 ists in their line. Minnie Lee Richardson, the pretty little crippled orphan girl sent some time ago to Rochester, Minnisota, through the instrumentality of Dr. E. T. Kelley and Mrs. J. T. Sexton who raised as public subscription a sum i of money for the girl's expenses, is coming home. Dr. Kelley informs us , that the funds subscribed have given out. The child has probably had to ! remain at Rochester longer than was i at first thought would be necessary, , therefore an indebtedness has been incurred which he and' Mrs. Sexton feel responsible for, and would seating off the indebtedness.
