Director.) 1. In the efficient marketing of cotton united effort is absolutely nec-1 cssary. 2. Organization means more than! membership in an association. It means to be of one mind in attack- j ing marketing and other problems. 3. If the price of cotton is arounu j SO rents this season farmers will, on i an average, lose money on their crop j this year. 4. The "country damage" to cotton I in South Carolina is about seven and a half million dollars annually. Ware-' houses would easily pay for them-1 selves in one season by saving this loss. 5. The cotton market can never be satisfactory as long as 70 per cent of the crop is dumped on a glutted market during four fall months. Warehouses would allow marketing over twelve months instead of four. 6. The only way to have cotton pro- j ducers know the grade and value of; their cotton is through the employ-; ment of officml cotton graders. 7.
