McWhite-Beatty. On Wednesday evening at eight o'clock, at the Duncan Methodist A. Church, Miss Edna Beaty, the young es* daughter of Mr. E. R. Beaty, was married to Mr. Grier McWhite, of Andrews, in the presence of a large gathering of friends and relatives. The church, under the supervision of Mrs. T. S. Munnerlyn, was elabo - ? i?V- 1 rately and most artisucauy arrangeu for the Rainbow wedding. Miss Ruth Hazard rendered the wedding music, playing as a processional, the wedding march from Lohengrin in a most delightful manner. The four little ribbon girls, Misses Mildred Beaty and Lois Cooper, Misses Myrtle Can-away and Mary Belle Higgins, entered first, from opposite aisles, stretching the white streamers down each aisle. Next came the ushers, Messrs. P. F. Doyle and E. R. Plowden, Messrs. H. W. Thomas and J. H. Carraway. These were followed by the bridesmaids and groomsmen, who entered from opposite aisles: Miss Alice Ward, with Mr. LeRoy Young; Miss Marian McFad** den, of Kingstree, with Mr. J. H. For e. Fraser; Miss Edna Dagget. with Mr. John W Coles, of Conway. The bridesmaids ^ carried white shepherd crooks tied with bows of colored tulle. Next came the matron of honor, Mrs. Julian Beaty, of New York. She was followed by the maid of honor. Miss Emma Beaty, a sister of the bride. Then * came the little ring bearer. Miss Marion Beaty, a niece of the bride. Precedeing the bride came two little flower girls. Misses Jane Bellues and janie ^ Cooper, scattering petals in her pathway. The bride entered with her father, by whom she was given in marriage. She was beautifully gowned in white duchess satin, em broidered in seed pearls en train. wearing a conventional veil and crI I ange blossoms. Her bouquet was a Hp shower of brides roses and orange Hn blossoms. She was met at the alter ^^B by Mr. McWhite and his best mah. Mr. Alvah Davis, of Andrews. The impressive ring ceremony of the Methodist Church was used. Rev. H. J. The punch bowl was gracefully presided over by Miss Canstance Wardlaw and Miss Theo Butler. Mrs. J. L. LaBruce kept the "bride's book, in which the guests registered.
