MUST WEAR DARK CLOTHES fcict Rule for Employees In Factories Where Work Is Done on Gold. Clothes of s light color are not favorites where work Is done on gold. In fact, in many such factories a dark suit of clothes is absolutely demanded. and even a light waistcoat may kwe a man a job. The reason for this Is that any stray grains of gold that may get on the clothing can easily be o*n?rht on a dark Suit, while they might get away from the establishment If light clothes were worn. That such a rule was enforce*! among gold workers one man learned recently when a Bohemian gold beater applied to him for a helping hand. The Bohemian said that he had not been In this country long, that he had had a chance to obtain a good job at his trade, but that the place had been refused him because he turned up with a light suit and waistcoat ??n. and they were the only clothes he h?d. The nuin whom be approached was struck by the story and offered to help him out If it proved true. He went to a factory with him and found out that the man could have the job if he predated himself within an hoar dad In mi proper clothes. So * salt of desired kind was obtained for him and mire enough he got the Job. Too may think this la strange," said the foreman of the factory, "bat It means quite a lot to as. Every man's dothlng is carefully examined when he leaves the place at night aqd the gold In brushed off whenever we see any ?a his clothing. It Is Impossible to hide even tiny grains on a dark back-ground, bat in the case of a mixed or a light salt we might easily lose quite an arqpnot of gold, and gold isn't anyt'Mng you want to lose even in small quantities.'' -r Catarrh Cannot BiCind 5LA 4g??ilt8%.1M C atarrh la a local d^wv,^reathr and acta t?osB? tba Blood os the Mucous Outfaces of the Slretom.
