Mr Lauriee Rhem was in Kings#tree one day this week and informed us that he had just shipped * solid carload of sweet potatoes, 5$J bushels, of the Cuban Yam variety, to the Georgia Produce Co at Spartanburg for 75c per bushel. These potatoes. Mr Rhem said, were from a nine acre patch planted after oata. Five families have used from the patch, plentifully, since the middle of July, and he still has over f?00 bushels left for domestic use this winter. Considering the oats made on the nine acres and the potato crop harvested, not to speak of the hundred or more hojrs that he will fatten off what is left in the field, it has been a profitable piece of dirt. And there are thousands of acres of it in Williamsbnrgr county. Second Lyceum Attraction Nov 15.
