0 It LARQQUE WILL BE BANK EXAMINER TO BE SUCCEEDED AS PRIVATE SECRETARY TO GOV MANNING BY JOHN E PUCKETT. Col 0 K LiRoque, private secretary to Governor Manning since September, 1915, has resigned that position to accept the otfice of State' bank examiner, to which he was appointed by Governor Manning, succeeding Capt Ivy M Mauldin; resigned. Col LaRoque's resignation was effective March 1, and on the same day he assumed the duties of bank examiner. In succession to Col LaRoque. as private secretary to Governor Manning, John Elliott Puckett, of Co lumbia, has been appointed. He began his official duties on March 1. Col LaRoque, the new State bank examiner, is a native of Kinston, N C, but has been a resident of this State a number of years.
