DOCTORS IN CONCLAVE. | Meeting of Williamsburg County Medical Society. Hemingway, March 24:?The Williamsburg County Medical society met here yesterday at the office of Dr E A Simmons. A resolution was offered and unanimously adopted by the society thanking the retiring president, Dr W V Brockington of Kingstree, for the interest he has taken in the society for the past two years, and for the very courteous manner in which he has presided over its meetings. It was decided to hold the next regular meeting in Kingstree at the Kellahan hotel Thursday, April 13, at 6 p. m., at which time a very interesting and instructive programme will be carried out, and after the business session a banquet will be served by the society. The home of Mr and Mrs H N Moree was the scene of a pretty marriage Sunday evening when their eldest daughter, Miss Mamie, became the wife of Mr R C Flowers, of the Trio section. At 5 o'clock the bridal party crossed the hall and antarad ?nnm njhorp thp (TllPSta VUVVAVU VKV iwtM ?* MV? v ? n ? were assembled in the following order: Miss Edna Moree with Mr Willie Cooper taking their place on the left of Notary Public W T Rowell. who performed the ceremony; next came Miss Bertha Moree, sister of the bride, with Mr Rob Register.taking their place at the right. Then came the bride and groom. The bride never looked prettier than she did in her dress of white chiffon over taffeta with shadow trimmings and carrying a lovely bouquet of ferns and carnations with streamers of tulle and ribbon. The community extend hearty congratulations to the happy couple. Miss Helen Hinnant is visiting her sister, Mrs W 0 Henderson, at Jordan. Mr and Mrs John Blakeley of Andrews spent last week-end with their parents here. Mr Roy Payne, accompanied by Miss Mattie McCollough of Andrews, was here one day last week on business. Among those who attended from Kingstree were Messrs A M Gordon, tBE Clarkson, J C Kelley, Sam P Stackley and Hon P H Stoll; also Mr W T Wilkins. Mr and Mrs L D Rodgers, Miss Helen Kennedy and Mrs M A Ros3. Those from Salters were Messrs Frank Richardson, Julius Lifrage' and sister, Miss Dulcie. From Andrews were Messrs | Tom Norton, Wayman McDonald, j Joe Bruorton, Reeves Hyatt, Luther Pipkin and Mr and Mrs J M Biakeley. The teachers, Miss Novel Richardson. left Saturday evening for for her home at Andrews and Miss Lyde Kennedy left this morning for Kingstree. These young ladies will be missed very much in this community.
