Mr C B Cox has bought a new Ford ear and makes his R F I) trip in about three hours instead of six as heretofore with horse and buggy. Mr R D Cox is expected to go into business here. Mr J T DuRant went to Georgetown on business a few days last week. We are'sorry to note that Mrs Geo j S Hemingway is still very unwell, j However, we trust that the All-Wise Being may restore her to good health again. The iceman is selling about 5,000 pounds of ice a week and expects ' to double that amount during Au-1 gust. This gives an idea of Heming-j way's caloric. The railroad company is bu lding a side-track for the convenience of the tobacco warehousemen, which will be quite har.dy for them in lead-1 ing tobacco.
