Sunlay morning, Lieutenant Governor 2has A Smith addressed the contention, his subject being, The Desirability of National Prohibii??J_i: J .lOll, which ncucnvcicu m uBvinuai y manner; paying a glowing tribute io the founder of the W C T Ua Francis E Willard. Mr Smith said :ie is not in favor of woman's suffrage, but if giving women the vote would stop the liquor traffic he tvould "line-up" for their being invested with the right of suffrage. After a forceful sermon by the pastor, Key J \V Truluck, Mr J Wilbur Hicks, a young attorney of Florence, lelivered a strong address on, "The Total Abstainer's Opportunity in ;he Business World." The vocal and instrumental solos were charmingly rendered by Mrs Wvsong and Mrs Howell, Misses Peak, Lavender and Parrott. ' Thirty-two delegates were present, epresenting five unions; in the iounty only one was not represi ted. A large delegation was present from die Lake City union.
