Carr In Georgetown. | When Mr Samuel D Carr, of the Seigling Music House, Charleston, was in Georgetown the other day he was asked as to the condition of the music trade in this section. Mr Carr has the Pee Dee territory, with I headquarters at Kingstree. He re- ( plied that he had found business very good indeed and looking up. This fall he expects to place a considerable number of pianos, organs and other instruments in this section. Tobacco sales have turned loose a good deal of money, and cotton is going to turn loose a good deal more of it. The people are geti ting to the point where they have something to spend for the luxuries of life, and one of the most desired and desirable of all luxuries is a musical instrument in the house. I Seigling's, as will be seen from an I announcement in another column, is s running strong this season on "play- m er" pianos; the sort that anybody can play without ever taking a lesson in music. All the operator has to do is to pump the bellows, the instrument does the rest, and a whole lot better than ninety-nine in a hundred people who have taken music lessons for years can do with their fingers.?George-toton Times, A Big Oiler.
