m ^ A Letter to tbetioys of Williamsburg County. Dear Boys:? The National Corn Exposition, the greatest gathering of farmers in the world, will meet in South Carolina next winter. You all know that our State is not in the corn belt as outlined in your geography, but the j . very large yields of corn made by ! I some of our boys and those of other i Southern States have. turned the at\ tention of the world to us as feed i producers and are the principal reaV son of this honor to our State. It, y has been fully proved that not only have we a monopoly of the cotton crop, but that we can make as much corn as any other people. When we look out of our comfortable quarters at a time like these recent cold days and see our poor old cows and hogs shivering and hungry and suffering for the need of the great heat-producer, surely we must realize that we are greatly to blame for not rais| ing more corn. | 1 am wnung you especially iiuw i because I want a large list of boys in our corn club. I don't believe South Carolina is going to be made ashamed when those big corn farmers from out West come here, but I am especially interested in the showing of Williamsburg boys. I want you all to plant and cultivate an acre of corn and keep a full record of the crop, telling how you prepared the land, how you fertilized and cultivated, when the rains came, and p everything of interest connected with it. You need not make a large yield to make a good showing. Some j boys have won big prizes from a 40' bushel crop by showing a fine selec| tion of ears. Other boys get prizes It for other excelling features, such as r the written history of the crop, the Y cheapness of the crop, etc. R Below is given a list of the memI i ^ ^ tt ? :n Ders ai present. ai juu win jum, j send in your name to me as soon as practicable. NO REASON FOR IT. You are Shown the Way Out. There can be no just reason why any reader of this will continue to suffer the tortures of an aching back, the annoyance of urinary disorders, the dangers of serious kidney ills when relief is so near at hand and the most positive proof given that these ills can be cured. The following is convincing proof. Mrs J 0 Hathcock, 1518 Front St,Georgetown, S Car, says: "Doan s Kidney Pills did me more good than anv other remedv I ever used and I am grateful to them. I suffered terribly from backache and pains in my kidneys and some days I was unable to get around, No position I assumed was comfortable and I also * had a great deal of annoyance frbm my kidneys, After using several ] remedies and getting no relief, Doan's Kidney Pills were recom- ' mended to me and I got a supply. After taking this remedy, my kidneys became normal and I felt well. I can certainly speak highly of Doan's Kidney Pills." (Statement given March 23, 1908). Confirmed Proof. j On January 12, 1911, Mrs Hathcock said: "I willingly confirm my 1 former endorsement of Doan's Kid- i ney Pills. The benefit I received I from their use has been permanent."
