Mr L H Cromer, of The Record's mechanical force, received a telegram Tuesday conveying the sad intelligence that his youngest sister, Elizabeth,aged eight years,was dead. Mr Cromer came here from Clinton, n Laurens county, and it was there at his parents' home that his sister1 died. We all extend sincere sympa-; thy to Mr Cromer in his bereavement. Mr Newton was manager of the BlakeleyMcCullough store at Taft and leaves a wife and eight children to mourn, their loss. The decased was about 35 years old and bore the respect and esteem of all who knew him. He was originally from Horry county,, but had lived at Taft for several years. His illness lasted through a long period of pain and suffering, which was borne vith Christian fortitude.
