Kingstree, January 5:?Quite a large-sized "bombshell" war thrown into the "blind'.tiger" camp here yes-1 terday when Special Constable Bryj an had Sheriff Graham to issue more than a dozen warrants for parties , charged with selling liquor. | Constable Bryan,since his appointment some months ago, has been very vigorous in his efforts t<> overtake those on whom suspicion rested. but realized that it was a v ery dilticult task, inasmuch as his official position was known to them. He, j however.obtained Mr J A Hauek. of the High Point Detective agency, to I assist him. The detective came, j nassinir as a "oicture agent," and j yesterday's arrest is a partial result | of their work. Among those arrested was only one white man, J P Wheeler. It was charged that some of those arrested were acting as agents for Mr Wheeler and that he,without the knowledge ; or consent of the Atlantic Coast Line people, was using a gasoline storage j tank, which was among the refused I freight in the depot here, as a store ! room,on which he had placed a lock. The key was handed over to the Sheriff by one of those arrested,who testified as to his selling the whiskey j for Mr Wheeler, and upon searching the gasoline tank it was found to contain ten quarts of "Hayner's ft rye. It is believed that the next few days' developments will reveal the fact that this town is full of those who are daily violating the prohibition law, which applies to this county. Those who are familiar with the inside engineering of Constable Bryan's manoeuvres are very extravagant in their praise of his good work.?News ? The flower girls also wore fetching little white organdie costumes enlivened with red ribbons. The bride herself was clad in a clinging gown of white messaline satin, made en train, and carried bride's roses. Her flowing veil was gracefully caught up with lilies of the valley. The house was artistically decorated with smilax and holly and Christmas festoons of evergreen. An elaborate course supper was served in the dining-room.where the table was brilliantly illuminated with many candles.
