j M to our friends > I Wishing y Kingstree, stmmmmmsm They Will Be Welcome. I Then* is a movement on foot to vote Sandy Grove township into Williamsburg county. About two years ago the people of that section contemplated such a move, but were dissuaded from it on account of the scheme to form Rutledge county, but since that proposition was lost the promoters of the new movement are going to try to put Sandy Giove into Williamsburg, so they may be near to a court house. It is but natural for Clarendon not to want to lose any territory and we hope the Sandy Grove people will stay with us, but if they think it to their benefit to go into another county it is up to them. If they do vote themselves into Williamsburg, it is our opinion that they will not be released from the court house tax of this county, and should Williamsburg build a modern court .house, as is likely to be the case In a few years.then the Sandy Grove taxpayers will have to share doubly for court house purposes. Clarendon is now one of the foremost counties " * i n l.. P in the Mate and we nope :>anuy vnuve will remain a part of it. Should the AleoJu railroad put on a daily passenger service, as we have no doubt it will before long, then in is the more important that Claiendon. should remain intact. However, this is a matter for Sandy (Jrove to consider before taking a step towards making a change'? Monmmj 'limes Saved from Awful Death.
