Miss Fannie Barton will leave
' Kingstree to-day tor a visit to relative
and friends in Suffolk, Va, and
elsewhere before returning to her
home in Cambridge. Md.
Mrs Hugh McCutchen has returned
from a visit to the family of her
brother, Mr James C Dobbin, in
Jacksonville, Fla. Her mother, Mrs
R A Dobbin, accompanied her.
Miss Marian Gilliand,after visiting j
her friend. Miss Theo Gregg, in
Sumter a few days last week, returned
Monday to Spartanburg to
continue her studies at Converse
College.
Mr J G McCutchen was taken to
the McLeod infirmary at Florence by
Dr C D Jacobs Saturday evening,
suffering from dropsy of the heart.
He stood the trip well and at last
accounts was slightly improved.

play and deserves a full house.

The editor has been confined to
his bed the greater part of this week,
[ being quite sick for several days.
We hope that this win De sumcient
excuse and explanation for any shortcomings
in the paper or other departments
of the business.
We are indebted to the kindness
of Mr John Dennis for a rare treat,
especially at this season, viz, a thirty-pound
water-melon of the oldfashioned
"rattle-snake" variety.
Needless to say we had quite a feast
for the whole family and some to
spare.
Treasurer J Wesley Cook, for the
convenience of our subscribers who
do not come to Kingstree often, has
kindly consented to receive money
on subscription to The Record and
we have given him a book to issue

Several correspondents sent us
articles Wednesday morning late for
this week's issue. We are sorry.but
as has been explained hundreds of
times before, Tuesday noon is the
extreme limit for receiving communications
for the current week.
Would be better to get them before
that time, but they must be in our
hands not later than Tuesday noon
to be printed. The same rule applies
to advertisements.

last week were noted Mr W P Meadors,
Jr.who returned to Wofford College

165,A F M, a faithful citizen, an indulgent
husband and a loving father,
who was removed from hi3 earthly
stage of existence to a higher being
by the decree of the Supreme Ruler
of the Universe March 1, 1910;
Therefore be it
Resolved,That in the death of our
brother, L L Rodgers, Indiantown
Lodge, No 165, A F M, has lost an
efficient and prudent member, the
county has lost a good citizen and a
veteran of the Civil war.
Be it further resolved, That a
page in our minute book be dedicated
to his memory; that a copy of
these resolutions be presented to the
family of our deceased brother and
that these resolutions b? published in
The County Record of Williamsburg

There was a very pleasant moonlight
