I THE NEC FISH AND GAME UWS. Adverse Comments Touching New Law ?Us Constitutionality Questioned. To respond to the demand of our leaders we will publish as soon as we cau copies of the game and tish laws that were enacted a*- the recent session of the General Assembly. There are parts of these laws that we approve and a large part of ithem we ar.j unalterably opposed to. TVe are opposed to auy legislation that seeks to deprive a people of a custom that has been i:i vogue from time beyond the counting of man, simply to provide jobs for men to harass their neighbors. We f*\or a # O reasonable protection for the tisli and the game, but the laws enacted Are too-drastic and could only get through at the last moments when n the opposition, many of them, had \ goue home, as is usual 011 the last day or two before adjournment, not dreaming that the Audubons weald urge the measures so lutein the game, Wo predict that the next Legislature at the very beginning will pull the fangs out of the laws enacted at the last moments of the - piesent session. The people will not stand for their rights being taken awav from them. The idea of a % society composed of a handful, in each county dictating what a man shall do with a string of liah thai he catches. He must eat them 01 throw them away, for under the law if he sells them some warden will hale hiui before the court*. This part of the law is unconstitutional in oar opinion, us it invades the natural rights of man. However, wheu we can secure a copy of the ' . Jaw it will be published in these oohi a;; .s.?Man n ing Times. W ortb a Dollar a Drop.
