Editor County Record:?I have the honor to enclose copy of resolutions which were unanimously adopted Jby the Chamber of Commerce in the City of Sumter at a meeting- held December 4, 1907. We will appreciate your doing everything in your power, lending your influence to the carrying out of the ideas suggested in the resolutions and giving them the widest publicity^possihi A I have the honor to remain, Emmstt I. Reardon, 8ecty. of Chamber of Commerce. < By order of the Chamber of 1 Commerce: I Be it resolved by the Sumter 1 Chamber of Commerce, that we I believe that the future increas- J ed population, prosperity and < wealth of South Carolina is , largely dependent on increased railway mileage and facilities to to take care of the continually increasing aemanas maae upon them by the gsowth of the , State, and that it ip incumbent e upon every good citiaen to in- J terest himself in the matter as * to the present need, as well as to insure a wider and fuller de- 1 velopment oi the natural re. sources of the State for the benefit of generations to come. .Farther: To insure increastransportation facilities, such n as are necessary for the proper development of this Stafe, no y the necessity for consistent handling of the transportation u ^problem is apparent iBe it Further Resolved: That tins \>ocly favors the utmost lib- a erality on the part of the State jg authorities towards all trans- n< portation companies undertakiDg to provide transportation in th this State in conformity with ? t ' our State and National laws. at Further: That the interest of South Carolina can best be servn ed by a policy of conservatism, that the essential need at tdis ? IS is increased and improved facilities and not so much a reduction of the revenues, such as we believe will tend to destroy the Jj present facilities rather than in- p crease their efficiency. J; Further: That we are not in " sympathy with the almost bos- p tile attitude assumed by the n public in some localities to- 0 N wards the railroad interests, ^ nor do we favor drastic legisla tion as recently enacted in otber u States, but on the contrary, we t favor fair and reasonable law9, fairly and justly administered. Further: That a copy of these resolutions be addressed to the Hon. Donald McKay Frost, chairman of the Legislative com' mittee on railroads, with advice that the resolutions carry the sentiment of the citisens of this city ana county, urging that he recommend to our next legislature such measures as will tend to increase transportation investments in this State. -Further: That a copy of these resolutions be directed to each representative from Sumter county, also the major of each city in this 8tate, as well as to our connty newspapers and the "News and Courier" and "The 8tate,w and all other daily newspapers, asking that they give ^ Shoj """"""" are s i 1TAI 1 nuu same all consistent publicity. But the doty of the kidneys is to remote all oric acid from the blood. Its presence there shows the kidneys are inactive. Don't dally with "uric acid t solveuts." You might go on till | doomsday with them, but until you cure the kidneys you will never get well. Doan's Kidney Pills not only remove oric acid, but cure the kidneys and then all danger from urio acid is ended.
