A DAMAGE SUIT. The Administrator of L. H- Parrott Sues the A. C L. R R. for $15,000. Suit has been tiled aguiust the Atlantic Coast Lme railroad for $15,000 damages for the killing of L II Parrott by the train at this place on the evening of January 4, 1904. The suit is based on the dangerous construction of the depot building, the absence of lights on the platform aud other acts of negligence. The adrmuistrat)r of Mr Parrott has retained LeKoy Lee, Esq.. as his attorney. It is not surprising that damage suits are brought against the railroad ou account of the condition of this building. The platform is raised above the ground and to board a train it is necessary to step across the intervening space to the platform of the car. AYe are informed that there is only one passenger depot in the State constructed on this plau besides the one here. Then, too, it has beeu only a short while since a young man in town was painfully hurt from stumbling over a bulletin board on the platform, which he failed to see on acceuut of the insufficient lights. A petition for a new depot here is - now being considered by the railroad authorities and it is hoped that in the noar future it will be acted upon favorably. SUICIDE PREVENTED.
