occupying the Giiland cottage on

has been made to give the children
the benefit of the Graded school.
Just as we go to press we hear of
the death of Dr T P Steele, of Black
Mingo. Dr Steele was a son-in-law
of Mrs McConnell, whose death is
reported in this issue, and had been
a sufferer lor years from ill health,
Mr William David Shaw, the
sometime editor of the Lake City
Times, has been appointed letter
carrier No. 2 for Sumter. At the
examination for this position, we
understand, Mr Shaw stood fifth
out of 26.
