This new departure eutails additional labor aud expense but we are satisfied our efforts will be appreciated by the people. I m Ink INFORMATION FOR VOTERS IN DEMOCRATIC PRIMARY. Upon Request of a Number of Citizens We Publish Below the Rules Governing Primary Election. All Democratic white voters who have been residents of the State twelve months and of the county sixty days preceding the next gen eral election, and all negroes who1 voted for General Hampton in 187?> and have voted the democratic ticket continuously since, are entitled to vote in the Democratic primary elections. Each voter must swear that he is qualified to vote, that he has not voted before in this j election and that he will support the nominees of the primary. No person shall be allowed to vote unless his name has been enrolled on | the particular club list at which he offers to vote at least live days before! the primary election. The club list I inspected and certified to by the | president and secretary and turned over to the managers to be used as the registry lists. Township chairmen are urged to see that this mat-! tcr is carefully attended to. Registration tickets are not required in primary elections. Two boxes shall be used, one for United States Senator and State officers, and the other for Congressman and County officers. The names of all candidates will be printed on the tickets, aud voters must scratch out the names of those for whom they do not wish to vote. No other tickets will be allowed. Partly written and partly printed tickets cannot be used. No vote for House of Representatives shall be counted unless it contains as many names as the county is entitled to Representatives. Williamsburg county is entitled to three Representatives and each voter must vote ior toree or nis vote for that particular office "Hill not be counted. The polls will open at eight o'clock in the morning and close at four o'clock in the afternoon.
