Master Willie Barr lost his pet

A practice game of ball was
played at the park Tuesday afternoon
between the Kingstree Club
and a picked nine. When the game
was called at the end of seven innings
the score stood 11 to 11.
Dr. L. B. Johnson's family, consisting
of his wife and two children
and Miss Lee Kellehan, his sisterin-law,

which will be their future home.

Mr. Carter is well known throughout
the county, having at the last
election headed the ticket for the
house of representatives.

reading in the paper. Don't throw

Mr. J. P. Shaw requests that
whoever has the Session book of
the Williamsburg Presbyterian
church, will please return it to him.
He has lost sight of it, and being
the proper custodian, is anxious to
have it returned to his keeping.
Capt. and Mrs. G. P. Nelson returned
from Charleston Monday
afternoon-accompanied b\* Mr. and
Mrs. Frank XeNon and their three
children. While not wholly recovered
from his recent illness Mr.
Frank Nelson is steadily improving
and with the advantage of our
salubrious climate he will no doubt
make even better progress in climbing
the hill of recovery...

lias served the people in his present
capacity, for several successive

on his record iu the ensuing. campaign.
Mr. W. E. Cook, of Scran ton,
while in town recently took occasion
to inform us that lie is not a
candidate for any office, all reports
to the contrary notwithstanding.
He is very grateful to his friends
for their solicitations, but for per
sonal reasons does not care to enter
|>olitics just now.
Mr. R. T. Parker called in Saturday
and renewed his subscription.
Mr. Parker has recently purchased
the A. J. Lee place in the vicinity
of Cades, where he has a fine cotton
crop and a promising field of corn
and tobacco. He reports excellent
seasons in his community and
splendid crop prospects.
Mr, Walter B. Logan, M. Brake
& Son's clever salesman, was with
us a day or two last week, Mr.
Logan says that there is an almost
unprecedented rush of orders for
tr*)ds in his line. This indicates
t uit the merchants tire expecting
?i big Fall trade. May their hopes
be realized to tho uttermost.
Mr. Alex M. Chandler and family
now of Valdosta, Ga., are on a visit
to relatives in the Rome section.
Mr. Chandler,who was a former resident
of this county, being a brother
of Sujiervisor B. B. Chandler, has
for some years conducted a naval
stores business in Georgia. His
many friends in Williamsburg are
glad to see him again.
