Just as soon as the steel lioors of the brick vault, which were ordered from the factory sometime since, arrive and are put in place, tbe new building will he ready for occupancy. Meantime the directors are much encouraged by the fine patronage the bank has already secured. Several negroes have beea committed to jail within the past week ar two for vnrious offenses. The tw# negroes, Jim and Will (.handler, who fired into a train en the Central railroad, near Heitiemann, were sent up by Magistrate Windbam, of Greeley ville. Samuel A Se'son awaiis a preliminary hearing en the charge of forgery, and Henry Davis will be tried in the circuit court for disposing of crop under lien. The case of Daris was heard before Magistrate Stutts. Vostmaster Louis Jacobs ha6 added a cabinet of eighteen lock boxes to his office. The new boxes are ot the latest design and have combination locks. The demand for lock boxes has greatly increased within the last few years. When Mr. Jacobs first took charge of the office a cabinet of fifteen was pot in, which fully supplied the demand; later ou nine more were added,which, with the eighteeu new ones, make the total number forty-two. Nearly all the new boxes are spoken for already. Besides these there are forty-five call boxen. Auction Sale.
