All torts of reports are abroad concerning the deplorable affair, so tiiat it is extremely difficult to get th# impartial facts tor publication. Both of the parties had been in town all day Saturday, anil late in the afternoon rode home together. It is said too, that they had bean drinking and were the wnrsp for linuor when thev reached home. Sports'home being nearer the public road, he got out of the wagon fret and Epps drove on to his mother's house qbout .100 yards distant. Here his sister, a young lady, teeing his intoxicated condition when he arrived, became frightened and ran over to Sports' house, Epps following behind.
