We have on our desk a communication from a beautiful .voting Williamsburg f: k girl uow attending the Winthrop Normal and Industrial College at j Kook Hill. At her own request we will not publish this letter. b&t will, instead, give an account of what we saw at the college ten t , days ago while attending the Bap-| tist vState Convention. With all of Rock Hill's hospitality, the crowning touch was a "reception and concert in honor i of'he Baptist Sta e Convention" i given by Winlhrop. and it will; ^ long be remembered as one of the i m st graceful and pleasant at ten ! at lions that this writer has ever en 1 V - ioyed, said "J. The young ladies did the amenities of the occasion in a manner ; which reflected a new lustre upon this institution. They made en B| gagements to take their guests to the concert and to tea, they introduced themselves and others, no one was overlooked a:i I these delicate attentions were paid with the grace, naturalness and eas* which can only come from tefined and cultivated womanhood.
