The abovo was amended in 1878 us follows: "All able bodied male persons be tween *the ngos of 18 and 45 years shall be liable annually to work on the public Highways and roads not Ices than three nor more than twelve days." In warning persons the overseer shall make out a list for the warner and require him to give notice to each person of the kiud of tool he will use in such work. The Dancing Question. The General Assembly of tho Presbyterian Church has settled the recently disturbing question in re gard to dancing. The church is required to abstain from harsh and tyranical action to wards members who may indulge in dancing.
