We learn that the raiu storm on Saturday evening last was vory dis tructive in some sections of *he county. In the neighborhood of ( 'amp Greek Church miles of fencing blown level with the ground. On the plantation or Mr.JvfL W.Stevens, in the Waxhaws, the storm partook somewhat of a hurricane, blowing down houses and twisting off the tops ol large trees. The track of the hur ricane was from west to east, and ex tended only about -100 yards in width. Singular to state, yet we are informoi that no lives were. lost. Mr. John Den ton was shelliug corn in his crib when the storm struck tho house, car rying off the roof and scattering tho timber in every direction, yot hoJe coived but slight injury. A stable,, containing two mules, was leveled to the earth, yet the mules came out un hurt. At this place the rain foil in torrents for about fifteen minutes, and the wind blew with great velocity, and which was destructive to many fine fruit trees.
