Mr. Abrain Dukes, an old and
respected citizen, died at his residence
n* or Branehvil'eof dropsy of the ein st,
on the .Oth inst. The deceased Was a
Mason in good standing, u useful mem
ber, of the Church, and a valued and
loved citizen, and main there are to
i.egfet the extinguishment of his lamp
of life. Our oldest citizens are gener
ally nur best, and it is a melancholy
thing to see them thus passing away.

pleted his three-score of years.

a little child of Mr. Fred. Living-ton.

died last week.
Also Mr. Joseph Kraft, one arm ng
the first to take up arms and to battle
for the Lost Cause. He leaves a wife
and live children. We sympathize
with his relatives and friends.

ing away to make room for the next,
