The de ceased was a resident of Union Town ship in this county. No particulars ps to the cause of bis death. We are glad to learn that the you ng men, students of the High School, have organized a literary debating Society in connection w ith that Insti tution. We bid them God speed and trust itr will enjoy a long and prospei ous career. The advantages arising fioill an an nual fair are too obvious to need mention. This small sum, while the I State would not miss it, would ensure a handsome premium list every year, ' and, in this way, stimulate active competition. As General Gary well said in the course of debate, the Fair is an agricultural school, and as agri culture is the basis of our material interests, anything aiding it will benefit the State. Dr. J. G.
