U. Dealer, I>. I>. We regret to annoucce the death of this eminent Divine, which occurred in Atlanta, Georgia on the 3rd inst. Ills remains ar rived at this place by Express from that city on Saturday last, and interred in the Hop tiat Cemetery. An extended obituary has been handed in but too late for this issue, will appear next week. At ore KnrninK' We have been informed that the pin- house and screw on the plantation of Mr. McKay, was consumed by fire on 24th ult. The gin-house contained a lot of cotton seed, guano and many other things. This was ev idently the work of an incendiary, from the that, that they were attacked by the yard dope upon which they fired, killing one of them. This was a daring outrage, and we sincerely hope tha party may }•« be brought to con dign punishment. Mr. McKay offers a re ward of one hundred dollars for proof suffi cient to convict the parties.
