Madison King stood firm and never once swerved from duty and not till the banner he loved so well was forever furled did he turn his steps homeward to meet his loved ones. There is probably no man in this community, who had a wider circle of friends and acquaintances than Mr. King. His devotion to duty and the integrity of his charac ter commended him to all men. and the announcement of his death will doubtless carry sor row to the hearts of all who knew him.
