They will visit New York in August for the purpose of buying stock and will commence business in September. He told hun dreds of people on Friday morn ing that he had brought the negro Green from Florence on Thursday night and that he placed him in the Chesterfield jail. It was soon ascertained that Green was not in jail, hut nothing definitely could be learned until to-day about the matter. * . . It is reported that Patrick had some difficulty with some of the Goodsons and left that very community, where he had been i employed several months, owing considerable money, and that he made the report in order to worry the family. Patrick is still in this county and is tell ing the story about the murder wherever lie goes.
