Several of the merchants had handsome ex hibits, that of Messrs. West & Honour, the popular grocers, in a handsome show case near the front entrance, attracting uni versal attention. Dr. J. A. Boyd’s lamp exhibit presented a showy appearance, while the Darlington Planing Mill Com pany had up in the main build ing a handsome arch containing many varieties of the fine work which is now being executed at their establishment. The bazaar was conducted this year by the ladies of the Presbyterian church. Any account of the Fair would be incomplete without mention of the Darlington Brass Band, which furnished the music for the occasion and did it remark ably well. too. Their improve ment during the past six months has been simply wonderful, and we doubt whether there is now a band in the State outside of Charleston and Columbia that can excel them.
